GOVERNANCE

Gateway Research Park is a 501 c (3) non-profit corporation and is governed by a 20-member board of directors. Gateway is a joint venture between North Carolina A&T State University (NC A&T) and the University of North Carolina Greensboro (UNCG).   NC A&T may appoint 50 percent of the total board, UNCG may appoint 30 percent of the total board, and the remaining 20 percent is comprised of business professionals from within the community. Dr. Charles E. McQueary, former Under Secretary for Science and Technology. Department of Homeland Security, currently serves as Gateway’s board chair.
