As a support service to its partners, Gateway can provide construction project management and administrative services for special projects. When partners are considering setting up new organizations or are considering a new facility, Gateway will leverage its expertise in construction management services, design and space planning, renovations, and LEED building options. Gateway will work with our partners to personalize every aspect of construction from site selection to identification of custom features and options.

In addition, Gateway will work with partners to provide administrative services (i.e. bookkeeping, planning and coordinating meetings, etc.) where, strategically, it may be more appropriate to take advantage of Gateway’s already established administrative infrastructure as opposed to creating something new.


Project Management

Gateway Project Management Client : Union Square Campus

Gateway Research Park was engaged by Union Square Campus, Inc. to perform the necessary administrative services to oversee the financing, development and construction of an approximately 105,000 square foot academic building and simulation lab located in downtown Greensboro, North Carolina.

Gateway was responsible for overseeing the first phase of development of Union Square Campus, which consists of a training and education facility for healthcare professionals, primarily nursing. Key stakeholders in the project include North Carolina A&T State University, the University of North Carolina Greensboro, Guilford Technical Community College and Cone Health. By housing programs together, these entities share lab space and equipment at significant cost savings.

A state-of-the-art healthcare simulation center will be a key component of the project. The first campus building, an approximately 105,000 square foot facility,  is located at the intersection of South Elm and Gate City Boulevard, with a cost of $37 million including land, infrastructure and equipment.
